I want to take the opportunity to welcome you to BC Bassmasters.

The excitement of bass fishing is not reserved only for experienced tournament anglers or hardcore fishermen. Anyone can enjoy this great sport, whether you are 8 or 80, or anywhere in between. That is the magic of bass fishing.

Bass fishing in British Columbia is a relatively new and unknown sport. It may be the best kept secret in the fishing world. Still, we have a growing number of anglers across the province who are starting to take advantage of the world-class smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing we have. That is what BC Bassmasters is all about. Getting people together to learn and have fun out on the water.

With BC Bassmasters, you get the opportunity to be part of more than just a club. We are a community. We believe that teaching each other and helping everyone get better is the only way to build our club. Unlike some other clubs, we do not believe that internal competition is the way to build camaraderie. The reality is that our members range from beginner to experienced. It would not be fair to pit these groups against each other. Instead, we focus on holding fun events where we are competing against ourselves rather than our fellow club members. Our events are all about fun and are not competitive. We choose to try to help each other improve our abilities. Even if you have never fished for a bass, you will find BC Bassmasters to be a supportive place to learn. That is our commitment to our members.

We know that people join clubs for different reasons. What is your reason to join? To have fun? I think that's the only reason anyone ever joins a club. Of course, your definition of fun is your own, and our goal is to make sure that no matter what you are looking for, you will find it as a member of BC Bassmasters.
